OUR STORY

Living Stones Community Church

Living Stones Community Church started in 1982, as a group of Christians who wanted to make a difference. The church is now two congregations which meet in the Old Town area of Eastbourne. Find out more about our other congregation at their website Old Town Community Church.

Watch this video message from our founding Elder, Martyn about our core values and beliefs.

Home for Living Stones is Community Wise in Old Town. We have been in partnership with Community Wise, a community centre in Old Town, since the our beginning. You can find out more at the Community Wise website.

While not part of a wider denomination or movement we foster our links with local churches, especially churches in the Old Town area and also like-minded churches across the town.  We are members of the Evangelical Alliance UK and also Churches Together for Eastbourne. We are linked to a wider community of charities both here in Eastbourne and across the world, please click on their logo to visit their webages.

Who is Who?

Martyn & Sue Relf

Founding members of Living Stones. The vision of church where people are at the heart, still burns strong with them today.  Martyn & Sue have recently reitred from leadership but Martyn stays on as our Elder

Rob & Caz.Kelly

“Rob and Caz re-joined Living Stones several years ago, having lived abroad for a while. With two young daughters and several badly behaved animals, they’re keen to build a church with solid foundations, where everyone gets the chance to grow and contribute to church family life.”

Justin Ayres

After a career change in 2015, Justin became our Children and Youth Worker. He passionately believes children have a special place in the church family. You will usually find him with a mug of coffee in hand!
